They may not be wearing Santa hats, but this week Moose abd Dews are definitely thinking festive thoughts, reflecting on the past year, discussing the emotional complexities of the holiday season, and - Dews in particular - cursing the day that an Elf first appeared on the shelf.
But what Christmas podcast would be complete without excessive consumption and rampant consumerism? Definitely not this one, as they also reveal details of the annual Primordial Boxing Day sale in the merch store (use code XMAS25 any time from Dec 25th until Jan 6th to get 30% off everything except spirits, tickets and the Bargain Basement)

In this latest episode of Primordial: The Podcast, hosts Moose and Dewsbury once again stretch the definition of “content” to breaking point with possibly the most anticlimactic prize draw of all time. Thanks to GDPR, they can’t even say who won a thing. Meh.
Thankfully they’re joined by DJ/streamer/PRFam member Alex Walker aka. Runny to discuss his upcoming 24-hour streaming event to raise awareness for COPD. There will be horror games, challenges, hot sauce and even hotter leg wax, but it’ll all be to raise some money for a great cause close to Alex’s heart.

Coming from the man who invented “charades on the radio” years ago (spoiler: it was rubbish) Primordial’s very own Dewsbury now brings you ”An Audio Unboxing” to similar levels of success. There’s a reason folks do this on video.
Not to be deterred, this week Moose and Dews cover all sorts of topics, including Xmas presents, merch, and a potential Primordial event that may or may not be held in Dunky The Retired Goth’s living room!
They also discuss Moose’s ongoing training plan for the London Marathon, but the real issue this week is with AI. The subject of AI-created music is a hot topic at present and - unbeknown to Dews - Primordial has already played several fully AI-created songs. The guys have their thoughts on the matter, but they’re looking for yours, so let them know how you feel about it via email or on the Primordial Discord.

Moose and Dews are back once again, and even though podcast episode numbers are no longer a thing (this is E465 btw) they’re already looking ahead at how they can make good on a longstanding joke, and do an *actual* spectacular for E500. That’s a big milestone coming up!
The guys are also joined by podcast regular Katy Baker of Metal For Good, and podcast first-timer Andy Gregory, as they have some startling news that leaves Dews gobsmacked!
There’s also an introduction for the newest member of the team. At the urging of our dear, departed friend Neil Cossey, Primordial is in need of someone who knows financial matters, bookkeeping, and accounting (creative or otherwise!) Luke Bunn has been part of the PRFam since day one, and has recently stuck his hand out to assist, for which we are hugely grateful.

Moose and Dews catch up again this week, with Dews in a slightly frustrated mood (the working title for this podcast was For Whom The Doorbell Tolls btw.) Once he’s got that out of his system, the conversation meanders through “Enshittification”, VHS, Betamax, and why one should not be an early adopter in the field of heart surgery. Seriously.
Eventually, the guys get down to business with their first guest, Richard Hanson of Bewdley Spirits, who has recently finished distilling the all-new recipe of Primordial’s Reckless Optimism gin, as well as the next batch of Dirty Panda spiced rum, both of which will shortly be appearing in the Primordial merch store with Black Friday discounts.
They are also joined by the ever-enigmatic Metal Dwarf (Kris, to his friends) who is one of the minds behind Primordial’s Burns Supper event, and also the accompanying limited-edition Primordial scotch whisky. The last batch sold out in record time, so keeping an eye on the merch store on Thurs 27th Nov might be a good idea…

Moose and Dews catch up again this week to talk about the power of belief. Whether that’s belief in themselves, in each other, in the “rightness” of their actions, or even just Dews’ belief that one day soon he will not be ill (ugh) it’s incredible what belief can do.

The latest episode of Primordial: The Podcast sees Dews yet again recording from the Plague House. Possibly not *that* plague, but it’s still pretty horrible. Thankfully, Moose is joined by a Doctor! Specifically Dr. El of the PRFam, who ignore Dews’ illness completely, in favour of discussing her plans for the Primordial Clubhouse Crawl, which is being planned for 2026, and aims to support some of the fab venues run by members of the PRFam.
Moose and Dews also get chatting about the chock-full Primordial liquor cabinet, and some possibly controversial merch.

Moose and Dews catch up once again this week and it’s all about Donington, as Dews has just returned from the Download Festival 2026 launch event. Turns out the Barbican in London is big - like, really big - on concrete.
They go through the announcement, from the absolute slam-dunk, gold star booking of Limp Bizkit on a Friday night, all the way down the undercard, with Dews having a change of heart from his initial misgivings with Gun N’ Roses. They’re the most dangerous band on the planet, of course they’ll be excellent.
They also speculate on atmospheric conditions around Donington potentially creating an unusual cloud over the audience while Cypress Hill are onstage. Ahem

Moose returns to the podcast this week. He and Dews catch up, with Dews taking his commitment to living in the past seriously, as he’s currently living in 2020! Covid is apparently still very much a thing. Ugh.
They chat about their respective other jobs, with Moose in particular taking great amusement from corporate morale-boosting initiatives such as “carve a pumpkin afternoon.” Presumably “Silly Hat Day” will be next month.
Dews gets into a glowing review of the recent Manchester show from Igorrr, an artist/band who defy all attempts at pigeonholing into a genre, and produce some spectacular shows.
The guys are also joined by one of the co-founders of Metal For Good, Katy Baker. Katy discusses the success of the recent Metal Merch Day, acknowledging the community's support in making a difference.

In this latest episode of the Primordial Podcast, Moose has taken his first week off since Moses was a lad, so Dewsbury is joined by the newly-married Pete Bailey!
The guys catch up on personal updates, and reminisce about the “good old days” of Call Of Duty Warzone, before paying tribute to two rock legends; former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley and Limp Bizkit’s Sam Rivers, who sadly both passed recently. They also take a look into Slipknot's ongoing cybersquatting issues with Slipknot.com, as it bears a startling similarity to their own issues with Primordial.com. S/O to their Icelandic friend.
The guys also go on to highlight Metal For Good’s upcoming Metal Merch Day, including collabs with the Metal God Rob Halford and Massive Wagons, their excellent Ebay sale, and the not-to-be-missed Three-Spin Friday!

In this heartfelt episode of Primordial Radio, Dewsbury and Moose reflect on the life and legacy of their dear friend Neil Cossey, who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. They discuss the importance of remembering Neil's spirit, the impact he had on their lives and the Primordial community, and how they plan to honor his memory by continuing the mission of Metal for Good, of which Neil was a Trustee.
Metal For Good co-founder Katy Baker joins the podcast to discuss Neil’s impact on the organisation, and also the upcoming Metal Merch Day, a fundraising day to support some great causes, which will also feature the podcast’s other guest this week; Baz from Massive Wagons!
He shares insights on the band’s collaboration with Metal for Good, the challenges of navigating the music business, and their ongoing efforts to expand their reach in Europe, while also honouring their commitment to giving back to the community.

Dews returns to the podcast this week, fully rested and refreshed after his week away. So much so in fact, that he’s ready to get straight back to work, as DAMN that was an expensive week away! Thank you Center Parcs. With discussions on parenting, co-workers and - bizarrely - the state of the employment market in 2025, this week's podcast is chock full of all the cynicism you could ever want.
Eventually (around 34 mins in!) the guys get to talking about the upcoming Download Festival 2026 launch event (that Dewsbury may or may not be attending) which leads to the question of the festival formula. In Dews’ opinion, Download hit upon a winning format this year with a new, potentially controversial headliner sandwiched between two more established acts, but acts that themselves were also first-time headliners. This seemed to work really well, which leads to Dews favourite topic of DL line-up speculation. LinkinParkwayBizkit anyone?

It would appear that Moose and Dews have been replaced by Waldorf and Statler this week, as their main focus appears to be complaining. Traffic, the fact it’s Autumn already, dark mornings, spurious research, forward planning, vitamins for babies, little bells that go *tinkle* and Moose’s fundamental unemployability are all among the subjects that arouse their ire this week, before they - eventually - get down to business.
They discuss the upcoming Halloween and Dirty Panda merch drop, and definitely do not discuss anything exclusively just for the podcast audience. Nope. Not this week.
