Moose and Dews catch up this week to discuss the latest developments with the Primordial General Mayhem 2024, specifically the cancellation of Creeper's appearance. Plans are already taking shape for a replacement headliner though, have no fear. They also draw the winner for the Primordial Xmas bundle raffle.

With over 102 MILLION VIEWS (!) at the time of recording, there's no way any other song can have been heard as much in the 36 hours since its' release, as Tom Petty's "Love Is A Long Road" in the new Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, right? Moose and Dews discuss, as well as taking a long walk down a very Canadian memory Lane.
There's also the latest on that PGM24 announcement with Creeper, As December Falls, and a whole load more!

There were times during summer when Dewsbury's camera would switch off during the video podcast due to overheating. There is little chance of that this week, as he and Moose catch up once again from their respective refrigerators; an attic and a shed.
The guys discuss what's coming up for Primordial - such as the PGM and the Xmas raffle - as well as their frustration with the things they can't yet discuss.

Moose and Dews also have a chuckle about "poster politics" and discuss the latest on the PGM 2024.

There's some weeks where there's not a great deal to talk about, and then there's some weeks where there's a lot! This week is definitely one of the latter.
Dews is back together with Moose, as they are joined by Sean Ayling (Brewmaster at Tom's Tap & Brewhouse in Crewe) to discuss the latest PRFam meet-up, and the next meet in January 2024. Rozie White also joins the guys to discuss the upcoming 2024 Primordial calendar, and there's a bunch more stuff as well, including new merch, a new competition, and gin!

Congratulations to Primordial's Full Metal Hackett for managing to wear 107 t-shirts, in aid of Metal For Good's Metal Merch Day. He raised around £1400, with Metal For Good in total raising around £4000, which will be distributed in the form of grants to some great causes.
As well as Hackett's charity endeavours, Dews wants to know all about Moose's recent trip to Canada for the weekend. Apparently it's easier to do that than drive to Newcastle from London and back.

Apparently the world record is currently 260, which is what Primordial's own Full Metal Hackett is aiming for, in aid of Metal For Good's upcoming Metal Merch day fundraiser. This week on the podcast, Hackett and Katy from MFG join Moose and Dews to find out what, where and why.

It's an emotional day for Moose and Dews on the podcast this week, as it's the last podcast ever to be recorded in Moose's current studio. He's moving house soon, and leaving the house where the idea of Primordial, the planning, meetings and all sorts of other stuff took place. Hoverboards indoors also happened there. Not recommended tbh.
The guys also reveal the new Halloween 2023 merch design (27min into the video version fyi) and discuss the upcoming Metal Merch Day.

We have just turned six years since the official launch of Primordial Radio on Sept 30th 2017, but as the guys were working on things significantly before that launch, it really feels more like seven years. Moose & Dews reflect on that time, and look forward to times to come.
There's also a look at World Mental Health Day, and the upcoming fun for Metal For Good's "Metal Merch Day."

Dewsbury is thinking of having his first proper haircut in almost 20 years, and Opeth have just been announced for Bloodstock 2024, so of course it makes sense for a podcast title, right?
Moose & Dews also take a look at the rest of that 2024 Bloodstock line-up so far, as well as a potential Download festival leak that Dews isn't so sure of. They also cast an extremely cynical eye over the recent news that Live Nation is to stop taking merch cuts from bands playing their venues in the US.

Life is a funny thing, and you never know what it has in store for you. Dewsbury for example, used to play punk rock around Leeds in the late 90s/early 00s. We know where he's ended up, but one of his old mates from the Yorkshire music scene has followed a very different path.
From Catalyst - the band that inspired his name - through the Sisters Of Mercy, Eureka Machines, Ugly Kid Joe (and many other projects) all the way to his Nameless Ghoul-hood in Ghost, Chris Catalyst has been a feature of the UK and international music scene for years. He's got a new album coming out in October, so joins Moose and Dews for a chat ahead of its release.

Moose and Dews catch up again this week to put the world to rights. Dews has just got back from his counselling session (which is a weird time to record a podcast!) but mental health is one of the pillars of Primordial Radio, so the guys get into how they're feeling at the moment. TL;DR Holidays are needed all round!
There's also news of new Primordial merch, and a potential return of the Burns Supper in Jan 2024.

After getting drenched courtesy of a flat car battery, and a dog that insisted upon being walked, we join Dewsbury in a grumpy mood. Joined as ever by Moose, the two of them ponder life, the universe and everything in this latest podcast.
Topics up for discussion include broadcasting from festivals, and Skindred's newly-announced Wembley Arena show, which eventually leads to the question: Who do we think is going to headline Download next year?

Moose has returned from his travels, so he and Dewsbury catch up once again live on Twitch, while also attempting a Discord experiment that - kind of - works.
There's news of the current merch sale via https://primordialradio.com/merch/ as well as discussing being ditched by The Blowfish for the podcast, as he has a much better offer from CNN! Shark Week on Discovery Channel appears to be going well! Moose also gets his tinfoil hat out, as they discuss WTF appears to be going on with Twitter/X.

Moose is off to his square meter of land in Scotland this week (long story...) so Pete and Dews take the opportunity to have a catch up about the perils of smoking, and the benefits of parenting in ancient Rome.
They eventually get on to talking about more important matters, with the big thing being the launch of the official Primordial Discord server. With social media being an increasingly hostile place, it's about time that there's a place for the PRFam to chat that doesn't depend on algorithms and sponsored ads.
They also get chatting about some upcoming festivals, including Bloodstock, Arctangent and Manchester's Radar Fest, where Pete is looking forward to seeing Sleep Token in a way smaller room than expected!

In this week's podcast, Moose and Pete take the helm as Dews is unfortunately under the weather. They kick off the discussion by celebrating the resounding success of the Big Bang Five, Pete then shares his experience of the 2000 Trees Festival and how he was refused service at the bar due to the risk of lightning!
The guys also talk about the importance of Discord as a communication platform. They emphasize how this platform offers distinct advantages over traditional social media platforms when it comes to connecting with the PRfam. With real-time communication at its core, Discord enables them to engage in dynamic conversations, fostering a sense of community among the Primordial community. They highlight the ability to exercise control over content visibility, free from the constraints of algorithms that often hinder reach on other platforms.
The conversation then shifts to Bloodstock Festival and Moose and Pete express their excitement about seeing Devin Townsend and Igorr at the upcoming Arctangent festival. However, they can't help but mention Heilung, known for their unconventional percussion instruments, they are made from, yes, human bones.
They also briefly touch upon their plans to attend the upcoming Radar Fest in Manchester and how this will likely be the last time people will get to see Sleep Token in a venue that small after selling out Wembley Arena in just 10 minutes.

Moose and Dews catch up old school-style with an audio-only podcast this week. With his offspring starting daycare soon, Dews has some actual parenting to do, so the Weds Twitch stream is on hold for now.
There's a bunch of stuff for the guys to talk about, including why Dews is so confused about childcare and ridiculously expensive SUVs. They eventually get onto the point of the podcast, and get talking about the changing plans for Primordial's 7th birthday party this coming September, and the ongoing plan to ditch Elon Musk's hellscape website.
